Bio

Burlington, Vermont based artist Elisa Freeman's work combines representational and abstract imagery. She presents imaginary spaces with psychological content while acknowledging conceptual issues in painting and drawing. Often inspired by childhood memories and old photographs, other influences include nature, Japanese landscape prints/paintings, contemporary conceptual artists and classical work by artists such as Klimt and Renoir.
